Glen Eden is built on ridges and gullies of Waitematā clay, and almost every call here has something to do with slope. The streets climb and fall over small valleys, many sections are steep, and there is a lot of bush and garden. The huge Waikumete Cemetery forms its eastern boundary. It is a settled, established suburb with a mix of long-time owners and young families.
