Emergency Plumber Ōtāhuhu

Ōtāhuhu has been settled for a long time, and some of its plumbing shows it. Near the town centre there are cottages and bungalows from the early 1900s, and many streets beyond them are 1940s and 1950s state houses, so galvanised water pipe and earthenware drains are common. When the pipe corrodes, pressure drops and eventually a section under the floor starts leaking. Ōtāhuhu sits on the narrowest part of the Auckland isthmus, between the Tāmaki River and the Manukau Harbour, and it is one of the oldest settlements in the south. Its town centre on Great South Road is busy with shops and food businesses, and the streets around it mix early cottages, state houses and newer townhouses. The Southern Motorway and SH20 run either side of it.
